Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu to visit New York on April 24-25 and attend high-level meeting on peace building and sustaining peace, according to the Foreign Ministry on Friday.
In a written statement, the ministry said: "Mevlut Cavusoglu will visit New York to attend the high-level meeting on peace building and sustaining peace, which will be held on April 24-25 2018 at the United Nations’ Headquarters."
Cavusoglu will address the UN General Assembly regarding Turkey’s contributions and approach to the UN’s efforts on peace building and sustaining peace, the statement said.
The minister will also meet UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and hold bilateral meetings with his counterparts at the margins of the meeting.
"During his visit, the foreign minister will also get together with representatives of the Turkish and American media outlets," it added.
