A group of media professionals from China’s coastal city of Shanghai visited the Ankara offices of Anadolu Agency on Monday.
Anadolu Agency's director of product and business development, Yunus Celik, explained Anadolu Agency’s international structure and its vision for the future to Shanghai Media Group members.
"Anadolu Agency is not a local but a global agency [with correspondents] all over the world," Celik said, adding that the agency would celebrate its 100th anniversary in two years.
Anadolu Agency currently broadcasts in 13 languages, including Turkish, English, Arabic, Russian, French, Kurdish, Bosnian, Croatian and Serbian (BCS), Albanian, Persian, Macedonian, Indonesian and Spanish, he said.
Celik also said almost 5.5 million photographs have been published since the agency was founded on April 6, 1920.
